Heuchera 'Fire Chief' is a mound-forming herbaceous perennial reaching a height of up to 50cm. Mid-sized, gently-lobed bright red leaves darken to wine-red through the summer, turning browner in autumn and winter. These are topped with airy sprays of small, bicoloured pink and white flowers on dark-red stems.
Most Heucheras do best in dappled shade in a moist but well-drained soil. In summer, feed every two weeks and trim to tidy the leaves in winter as they can become tatty.
