French lavender is a favourite in cottage gardens and herb beds. It also makes an aromatic border edging around vegetable or herb plots.
French Lavender varieties have beautiful unique flowerheads sometimes refereed to as 'rabbit ears' they are very attractive to bees and butterflies, perfect for wildlife gardens.
For best flowering position in full sun on well drained poor soil. These plants thrive on neglect and once established are very low maintenance with superb drought tolerance. They can also be pruned back into a hedge or to produce a more compact shape, just prune back into 'green' material and never hard back into woody growth.
