A new dramatically dark dahlia, noted for its enormous flowers. The huge blooms are of deepest red, appearing near-black, with a rich velvet sheen to the petals.
Growing to 100cm this impressive Dahlia is best grown in a large container or sunny border, in moist but well-drained soil.
To overwinter after the first frost, cut off the top growth, dig up the tuber and leave it to dry for three weeks. Overwinter it in an airy, frost-free place, and replant the following spring. Alternatively, grow dahlias in pots and move them indoors in autumn.
